Child Knocked Down
By Car
An accident which resulted in the admittance of a young Chinese girl to hospital was reported to the police yesterday.
It appears that while Mr. J. Gardiner of the Harbour View
Botel was driving private car No. 3374 along Causeway Bay Road in a westerly direction at about 4.50 pm. yesterday, a young Chinese girl named Kwok Tal Kam, aged 8 years, suddenly darted across the road near Bay View Mansions from right to left and before Mr. Gardiner could do anything des- pite the sudden application of the brakes and swerving to the left the unfortunate child was knocked down by the bumper and right mudguard of the car.
