Adrienne Ames. Aim 'actress, who is playing the role or a royal princess in "You're Leung Me the Paramount picture staring w. C. Fields, and opening to-day at the Alhambru Theatre, narrowly escaped becoming a real princess a few years ago, she admits. . She has been studying art and fashion designing in New York. went to Europe to continue her studies. Having been prominent for several years in New York society, she met many friends on the continent and throught them a number of members of the Euro-Theatre group. She applied for an pean nobility.
One of these an Itollon prince. was decidedly imperessed and start- ed a fery crush during which he followed Miss Ames to every city which she visited. It lasted up to the day she salled for home, still belleving however, that American men make the best husbands.
She has not forgotten the gen- tleman's name. She just won't tell.
They all made their acting debuts, in leading roles, and they never have played anything but starring or featured part on stage or screen.
Miss Harding got her start with the Provincetown Players, a Little
atmosphere bit and was given the lead in her first play. From that beginning, she progressed rapidly to Breadwar and" flm stardom.
Miss Vin. also a Little Thea- tre "graduate." She first played leads with the Houston, Texas, group. Featured, roles on the New York stage followed, and then the films drafted her.
