When Charles Starrett, hero of RKO-Radio's streamline train picture The Silver Streak" at the King's Theatre on Wednesday. and Irving Pichel, screen villan. battled to the death in the cabin. of the world's fastest train, three great.ex-screen fighters were pre-
sent.
They were William Farnum, a member of "The Sliver Streak" cast, Edgar Kennedy also one of the cast and Walter Long appear- ing in another RKO-Radio produc- tion.

William Farrium, together with Tom Santschi, staged the great batde or "The Spoilers", that sent Farnam to the hospital for two weeks. Kennedy, a profes- sional boxer before he became an actor, opposed Jack Dempsey for "Iourteen rounds of a screen battle that Wai sensational, Walter Long was the opponent of Wallace' Reld in the never-to-be-forgotten blacksmith shop fray that was a brilliant highlight of "The Birth of a Nation".

In the evening the crowds in creased rapidly. Fortunately the traffic was not heavier than usual, for the strangers took little notice of traffic signals or Belisha cross- ings and rushed across the streets whenever the fancy took them. The much-talked-of decorations at the west end of Oxford Street brought such crowds of admirers to that part of the street had again to be closed to trafic. The Mall and Constitution Hill were densely crowded and there were always tens of thousands of a people outside the Palace. Many of the sightseers did not begin to 80 home till after midnight though thousands of them must. have had to walk home.
