Exchequer returns for the past week show that the total ordinary revenue for the current financial year to date amounts to £80,357.- 781 as compared with £78,133,517 at the corresponding date last year. Silver prices were substantially lower yesterday to the extent of 1 1/16 for both deliveries, the quotations being 33 for Ready and 33 15/16 for Forward. China sold and India bought at the de- cline. Speculators operated both ways. The tone was steady at the close with business done at 5/16 over the quoted rates.
