I'VE GOT YOUR NUMBER

The romantic and human elements that lie behind the operation of the gigantic tele- phone system of the country are featured in the Warner Brother picture "I've Got Your Number" showing at the 'Oriental Theatre on Tuesday and Wednesday.

In this picture, Joan Blondell is given unusual opportunity, not only to carry of in her breezy style lively comedy situations, but to demonstrate emotional and dramatic talent. For the story touches on every phase of life in the contacts of telephone era- ployees with the public, prescrting the many interesting incidents of real dally occurences, including humorous events, scenes of pathos, tragedy and thrilling action.

As a smart-cracking telephorte operator, Joan engages in a duel of "wits with Pat O'Brien, her leading man, and trouble-shooter for the company, who is as quick on the verbal trigger as Joan her- self. It is in this snappy atmos- phere of lively repartee that their Tomance blossoms, only to hit a snag when Joan believes her lover to have instigated her arrest when accused of being the accomplice of a band of crooks. It is in the latter situation that Joan is afforded her chance to display dramatic ability.
