It is notified in the "Gazette that the following regulation in regard to prohibited exports has been made in place of Order No. 727 made on June 30, 1922:

No person shall, except with the express permission of the superin- tendent of Imports and Exports, export any of the following articles to any destination:-

Aircraft of all kinds and their component parts.

Ammunition (whole or parts). uther than ammunition for use in smooth bore shat-guns

Arms of all kinds and their component parts, other than smooth bare shot-guns.

Explosives, other than industrial explosives.

London, April 30. Essex' has some ripening talent, judging by the excellent form. shown by two young members of the county team, HA Hare and 8. Peachey, at the North London Hard Courts Club's tournament at Highbury yesterday. Neither won, but each put up, a great fight against much stronger opposition, Hare being beaten by F. H. D. Wilde, 6-4, 6-3, and Peachey los- ing to Y, Kuwahara, the Javanese. by 9-7, 8-1.

Hare, indeed, was rather unlucky not to win the first set from Wilde. He led 4-1, and Wilde was 1540 down on his service in the next game.
