Good Display By South Africa:

The remaining County cricket fixtures begun last Saturday con- cluded to-day with arst innings points for Gloucestershire against Nottinghamshire at Nottingham and an outright win for Northamp- tonshire over Somerset at Taunton.

GLOUCESTER v. NOTTS. Gloucester, who won on the first innings, sent Notts to the wicket and they scored 250, Gloucester re- plying with 288.

Notts scored 270 in their second effort and closing time arrived with Gloucester having collected 13 runs without loss.

NORTHANTS. v. SOMERSET Northants defeated Somerset by 48 runs. Batting first Northants scored 171, against which Somerset made a show of 285.
