Paris, May 13.

The news of Marshal Pilsudski's death created a deep impression here, all the more so as an announcement of the Marshal's inability to receive M. Laval had led the French public opinion to believe that Pilsudski was only suffering from diplomatic illness.'

Matin says that when surveying details of Pil- sudski's story of his life one understands to-day the at- titude of the Polish people which saw itself martyred by Russia and threatened by Germany. The paper adds France will bow respectfully before the mortal remains of a man who loved his country above all things and regained its freedom."-

"Le Journal" thinks Marshal Pilsudski's death will not entail any immediate change in the political course steered by him-Transocean Kuo Min.
