KING'S JUSTICE WINS JUBILEE CLASSIC

Bayardo Provides The Surprise

TWO DEAD HEATS: SOLDIER OF HONOUR SPRAINS TENDON

The feature of the fifth Extra Race Meeting held on Saturday in glorions weather was the sensational win of Bayardo (Mr. Black), which won the New Zealand (Handicap second section) to return the biggest dividend of the day—$196.80.

There were two dead-heats, Gladiator and Sadko tying for second place in the Silver Jubilee Handicap which was won by King's Justice, while Tiny Star and Warrington reached the winning post at the same time in the British Isles Handicap. After winning the New Zealand Handicap (first section), Soldier of Honour was found to have strained a tendon, and its jockey, Mr. Norman Deitz was forced to walk in with his saddle to the paddock.

Seven starters, took part in the first event of the day-the British Empire Handicap-which was won by Hetman, the favourite, with Macaront second and Bright View third. The
