Opened Arm and gradually strengthened up owing to general selling but towards noon the mar ket collapsed with sellers being reluctant to quote,

Sterling 2/51, was on uffer after the opening but the selling rate soon rose to 2/54 with a smali business done at 2/5 for near. Subsequently the selling rate Tose gradually to 2/03 at which Fate business was done for деат delivery fallowed by transactions at 2/8 5/16 cash, 2/6 for June and July. At this stage the mar ket reacted suddenly and the buying rate gradually receded from 2/6 5/16 to 2/6 at which rate a small business was done for near delivery. The market closed at lunch time with sellers at 2/5 April/May, buyers at 2/51 April/ May and probably. June.

D. 8. Dollars Opened with sellers At The selling rate gradually rose to 60% for near resulting in business at 61 for near, 611 May, 61; Jure and also 61f for June. The mar- ket then reacted, closing at 1 p.m. with sellers at 591 April/ May, buyers at 591 for near and probably forward' ........
