Kathleen Burke wants the Alm public to forget her as "The Pan- ther Woman" and think of ther only as an actress.
Now that Miss, Burke has won her chance as the only feminine member of the featured cast of Paramount's "The Lives of a Ben- gal Lancer," now playing 3.1. the Central and Alhambra, she in- tends to prove that she really an actress!
"The title Panther Woman'," it- self didn't hurt me," explains Miss Burke. "As a matter of fact it helped me when I was an un- known. But it has made it almost impossible for me to play normal roles as I desired and, for that rea- son. I'd like to have people forget my glamorous, unreal past.”

One of the most interesting sets Miss Colbert wears in "The Gild- ed Lily" is a long necklace, of rubles and diamonds with a large pendant drop. This has a wide, matching-bracelet with five huge cabochon rubies surrounded by pear-shaped diamonds and Elled in with diamonds. Twenty one pieces can be made from this set which is worth $150,000.
