Buyers showed marked reserve so far as the sharemarket is con- cerned since the opening of the Geneva negotiations, this again introducing an element of uncer- tainty into the general situation. The turnover therefore was small but the prices were mer because confidence in the out- look was unshaken. The fixed in- terest securities market was char- acterised by the large transactions and the corresponding smart rise in prices in Mexican bonds.. Ger- man investments were, however, quieter.
