Copenhagen, March 14.
A terrible shipwreck took place an Wednesday on Medallands Bay. on the south coast of Iceland and known among seamen as "sallors": graveyard" when a huge, three- master name and nationality un- known, split on the rocks.
Five survivors dearly dead from hunger and cold" dragged" them- selves ten miles to the nearest village where the peasants could not understand their language.
Later nineteen seamen mostly quite naked were found on the shore unconscious, three being frozen to death.
