Berlin, March 12. This sharemarket was firmer and the upward tendency affected most sections of Metallurgicals continued to head the market. the list. Fixed interest securities remained dull.

There were sellers after the opening at 2/0 for near and 2/0 1/16 for Forward. Later the sell- ing rate rose to 2/0 at which rate business was done for May, April } and cash followed by transactions at 2/0 3/16 for May and April 101, on Monday it was not quoted, Call Money 34 to 31. Young Loan The market closed with sellers at Reichbanks weaker to 1851, 2/01 for cash and 2/0 3/16 April/Dyetrusts lower to 141, Salz- May, buyers at 2/0 3/18 for cash and 2/0 April/ June.

U. S. Dollars Business was done at 47 11/16 for April and 47% for cash. Towards the close business was reported at 47 for near delivery. There were sellers at 47 11/16 March and 472 April. buyers probably at 1/18 higher.

Shanghai Dollars. Sellers were quoted at 124 5/16 for near delivery.

Shanghai Market. Started with sellers at 1/71 for near and 1/1 3/16 April. Later advices indicated the market as being firmi at 1778 sellers for near and 1/7 5/16 April. US. Dollars opened with sellers at 38 for near and 373 April, rising subsequently to 38 5/16 for cash and 381 April Firm.

It is understood that the crisis. has arisen owing to the firm's inability to meet out of its liquid resources certain requirements rea- pecting bank advances.
