By-way-of-prelude to the Royal- Academy (autumn' 'exhibition of Chinese art, there should be great interest in the show of contem- porary Chinese paintings, which is to open at the New Burlington Gallery on Feb. 21. Över 300 pic2 tures, representative of some 90 modern artists, will be exhibited. During the past year and a half these pictures have been shown in Geneva, Paris and Berlin, with much success and admiration everywhere.
