NAMING OF THE DEPTFORD

The new sloop Deptford will be floated out of the dock at Chatham, where she has been bullt, to-day. The customary naming ceremony will be perform- ed by the Mayoress of Deptfort The association with the Borough of Deptford is to be give per- manent form by the presentation to the ship of a shield to be won by the member of the crew who' brings the greatest credit to the vessel in the various forms of athletic sport.
