Lighting Deplored: The 'Safety First' Problem

APPEAL FOR MORE SUPPORT IN

ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN

References to the unsatisfactory system of street lighting; the excellent road service offered by the Assocation; the facilities afforded by the provision of more parking spaces; and the "Come to Hong Kong" movement, were made by Major C. M. Manners. O.BE., yesterday when he presided at the annual gea- eral meeting of the Hong Kong Automobile. Association held at the beard room of Messrs, Jardine, Matheson & Co, Ltd.

Mr. T. B. Wilson, who was slected President for the coming. year, also referred to the "Safety First" problem, and express- ed the wish that motorists in the Colony would not fail to comply with the rule of "Courtesy of the Road.”
