Mid-Week Races
In a nice sailing breeze yester- day the first race of the second series of Wednesday Races was held by the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club over's course of 7.9 miles.
Misa H Cawhill Wilson at the wheel of Jan was successful. In winning the event for "A" Class Yachts, with Commodore F. Elllott, RN.. second in Pat, and Major Thoyts third in Wasp H
Sirius crossed the line first with Mrs. P: Finlay at the helm to win the race for "I" "Y" and "G" classes from Ailsa (Mr. Douglas) and Stells (Major Dixon).

During the dinner, the Interport Cup was presented to Hoax Kong by Mr. R. Gelmshaw, President of the Shanghai Football Association. The local Captain, Mr. Pardoe was handed Shang- hat's flag.
A replica of the cup was presented to Sir Thomas Southorn and a similar replica to the Captain of the local team, while Captain E. Haig was also preselted with a momento from the visiting team.
Mr. Grimshaw in the course of a brief speech said that the team which was so thoroughly beaten by Hong Kong was the fittest ever to have left Shanghai. He said that Hong Kong's eleven was the best balanced. side ever to play in the annals of interport football.
