In the Second Division, Bolton, in spite of their being held to a draw at Bradford, are still at the top of the table, as Brent- ford went down to Bury,

Charlton retains the leadership in the Southern section of the Third Division, with Watford taking second place over the Palace. In the Northern section Chester overtook Halifax to be second to Tranmere.
