Market Uncertain at the opening but subsequently eased off. The tone towards lunch time was, however, on the steady side.

The market opened with sellers at 1/91, buyers bidding 1/9 9/10 but offers at 1/91 were soon ac- cepted for cash/February follow- ed by transactions at the same rate for March and April. The market closed at lunch time with sellers at 1/94 January/March and probably 1/9 9/16 April buyers' bidding 1/32 higher respectively. U.S, Dollars There were sellers after, the opening at 431 buyers bidding 43 -11/16. Business Was soon ar- ranged at 431 for March. delivery followed by transactions st the game rate for the second half of February and February, Later a stmall business was arranged at 43 11/16 for near delivery. The market was erratic,, Early advices indicated the market as being easy with sellers. at 1/52 and the forward rate at 1/5 3/18) Subsequent advices indicated the market is being steady at 1/5 13/16 sellers for near and 1/54 sellers for forward. Berlin, Jan. 30. Although beyond question, pre- ferance was shown by investora taf dividend-bearing shares rather than for fixed interest securities, no uniform tendency developed. Share prices. inostly advanced whlie fixed interest securities showed a disposition to sag where -holders put them on the market. The demand prevailing in the fixed interest security market was distinctly for bonds of all kinds affected by the conversion so that these advanced from 1 to point Call Money was quoted at 34- Transocean Kuo Min.
