TRAINING GALLOPS
Many Griffins Sent Over Full Derby Distance
Quite
number of ponies were sent over the full mile- and
ä half on Saturday, but there were no startling performances. Estover returned 3.26, which was the best gallop of the morning. although the finish was very slow, King's Jubilée more in- pressively at the end of his gallop and the last quarter-of- 30- seconds was quite convincing. Mersey and than went over a mile together and both moved very well. Mr. Eu Tong Seng's Rosseau was another which soomed to Hike his work Herod's lime is worth studying.........
In the subs' class good gallops were registered by Sci-fs, Valley View and Tin Ho. The last named returned the "best time of the three, but his Bnish was far from good, while on the other hand- Bci-fa Bnished handsomely.
None of the Australians did any fast work. Mr. Leo Frost tried out Got That for the first time, but the gallop was very slow.
The times clocked on
Saturday were as follows
