Football last week was productive of a disgraceful scene, as a result of which a game had to be abandoned. I refer to the Radio V R.A.F. match. Not con- tent with fisticuffs the players of the Radio left the field, and at- tacked an Airman who had to beat a hasty retreat only to be, over- hauled and mauled. What will the Council do about it? Earlier in the Season à Junior Club was sus- pended for a less flagrant in- fringement. Will the Council now take steps to ensure that such in- cidents do not. recur? The press had before been notifed of the findings of the Emergency Coun- 10.00 ell but of late they have been kept in the dark.

South China "A" and Club de Recreio will be guring in two matches this week end. In their first match the Chinese will re- ceive the Club and despite latter's showing against the police I do not think the Chinese will be very much extended, especially 10,20 as they are at home.
10.32
The Recs may give the Chinese 10.24 better showing on Sunday. The Portuguese lads are quite nippy 10.26 and they play almost, the same type of football as the Chinese. Though the odds are slightly in favour of the Chinese, the Reas will give them a good run for the points.
On Saturday Lincolns are enter- raining the Recs and a good game should be provided.

CLUB-BEAT NAVY
Triangular Hockey Tournament
In the return Triangular Tour- nament Hockey match. Club de- feated a Naval XI by three goals. to one and fully deserved their win. The game, was very scrappy at times but flashes of individualy brilliance compensated for what ever defects shown, Owen-Hughes. recelved, the full force of a hit on, his leg and was imping very badly towards the end. Els api pearance for the Club in their cricket match against the Army is very remote...
The Navy started off pressing but E. V. Reed relieved. Lay was almost through but Baines ran out and intercepted. Following pres sure Divett scored a fast goal, the shot hitting the bottom of the upright and rebounded into the net. End to end play was the order for some time. Towards the breather Lt. Currey equalised fol lowing a pass by Lt. Howie from the right. Gregory was just an Instant too late in meeting the ball.
After the resumption the Club pressed. Lay missed three consecu-1 tive easy chances but after about ten minutes play made up for his mistakes by scoring a great goal to put the Club ahead again. Mackay had bad luck when his A. Mackenzie and D. A shot just missed. Continual pres- Campbell.
sure was again rewarded when Lay again scored. Receiving, he dribbled past two defenders and with a reverse hit sent the ball into the net. With the exception

To-morrow Navy should have no difficulty in disposing of the Saints and the Athletic v. E, Lancs match on the
Club ground should be keenly contested and a draw, would In all probability, be the result.
