TRAINING GALLOPS

Fast Mile By Bonny Dundee: Herod Moves Well

(BY: “MORNING DEW")

Yesterday's training, gallops are particularly interesting, as some of the griffins, of which little has been heard to date, are now coming to the forefront. In this category can be included Herod (one of the kept over candidates of the "Hem" stable). who went over a mile and a half yesterday, moving in fine style. and Bonny Dundee, who covered a mile in 3.13.1. moving very nicely all the way. Y

Pacific Hall still continues to impress and so far, appears to have the biggest claim on the Derby. He did another good gallop yesterday without being very much stretched.

Some of the Australian ponies moved well indeed, and from the training times given below, one could gauge the comparative strength. All of them are doing slow work with a bit of rush over the home straight
