A revolting crime, resulting in the burning down of an ancient village church and the murder of the local priest, took place on Wed- nesday night after a drunken

brawl by three peasants in a dis- trict near Budapest. When they were overcome by the liquor they began betting about what would be the most sensational crime they could commit near their home, Some one suggested burning the church whereupon all three rushed to the spot and began hatomering the door.
