TRAINING GALLOPS

Griffins Doing Faster Work

(BY MORNING DEW")

The feature of yesterday's training gallops at the course is the faster work that is being done all round by the griffins. Soldier of Victory went` over a mile in 2 16, and Bold Colonel in 2.18.3 (the first half mile in 1061.). Other good gallops were by. Pacific Hall, and Trowbridge, while Harvest View moved very well indeed in his mile gallop

Among the subs, Double Chance again galloped well, while Royal Eagle, Tin Ho, Lacky Strike and Soldier of Russia all did well,

Of the Australians Derby Day and Fairy performed well, while Vixen Tor put in a convincing finish. Snowy River also - shifted well in his journey over a mile and a quarter.

The following times were elocked yesterday:—
