TRAINING GALLOPS

Streamline Shows Great Promise

(By "Morning Dow")

The outstanding gallop on Saturday at the Race: Course was by the new Australian pony, Streamline, belonging to Mr. Hosie. He went over the mile and a quarter in 3.07.3, taking 27.3 for the last quarter. Streamline kas impressed" many of those, whs 'line the rails in the mornings and is likely to turn out to be the best of this season's batch of Australians.

+

In the griffins class, Trowbridge and Pacific Hall were again the most impressive performers, although several other ponies- Gulding Star, Mistake Bay, Clear View and Bonny Dundee also did well. Clear View, incidentally, galloped on Friday and not on Saturday.

Among the subscription griffins there were several good sal- lops. Th Hon (Friday) went over a mile and a quarter in 2.52, Hall Moon in 2.56, Royal Eagle in 2.57.4. All of them however, lacked a strong finish. Other good gallops were by Double Chance, Lucky Strike and Wadebridge.

The following times were clocked:---
