Filipino Community Celebrate Anniversary Of Leader

At Lane Crawford's Restaurant yesterday, the Filipino com munity observed Rizal Day with a tiffin, followed by a concert and dance. The guests of honour were Mr. Charles" L., Hoover. Consul General for the United States, and Mrs. Hoover,

Mr. L. R. Ildefonso presided over the luncheon, after which, in a brief speech, he outlined the effect of the good work which the national hero of the Filipinos had done during his lifetime.

The luncheon was followed by a concen, which proved to be one of the best efforts of its kind seen in Hong Kong for some, time.
