Edinburgh, Noy, 30. Insects new to science have seen found in the Scottish Highlands
They were among over 7,000 specimens which, during the sum- mers of 1931 1932, and 1933, ware obtained by members of the star of the Department of Entomology of the British Museum,
Of this number, so far, over 50 mecies have been recognised that have not previously been recorded from Great Britain, and at least 13 of them are new of science.
These discoveries are described. in the official list of acquisitions to the Natural History Depart ment of the British Museum during November.
In one group alone it is stated, consisting of the sawiles, four species new to science" and thir -teen new to Great Britain wera
