The new Loop Lowestoft, built at Devonport Dockyard, will commis alon there to-day under the com- mand of Commander. A. R. M Bridge, late of the R.N. Star Col- lege, to relieve the Bridgewater on the China Station. It is expected that before she leaves for the Far East next month the Lowestoft will visit the port after which she is named. The last ship to be called the Lowestoft was 'a, cruiser which served throughout the War and was afterwards or the Africa Station until 1929. She was sold out of the Navy in 1931.
