A wide circle of friends in Hong Kong will learn with great sorrow of the death of Mr. Claude Ivon Willams, late Captain of Chinese Maritime Customs, which occurred

Captain Williams was an old worcester boy and after serving in the P. & O. Service became at- tached to the Chinese Maritime Service. first at Hong Kong and later at Shanghai. He retired after over 30 years service in 1919 when in command of the s.s, Lut- Hsing.
