Arnott, Young and Co., of Glasgow, for about £35,000, and will be broken up at their ship- breaking yard on the Clyde. It is understood there was keen Japan- ese competition for the vessel. The TEEMS-CASH ON DELIVERY. Empress of France is a turbine steamer of 18,452 tons groas, and was built in 1913, as the Alsatian by Messrs. Wm. Beardmore, at Glasgow. She has been laid up in the Clyde shoe September, 1931.
