Patchy Game At Sookunpoo

Club defeated a combined Army team on Saturday by two goals, a penalty goal and two tries. (19 points) to a goal (5 points). The Army team could not get going, and despite good individual efforts, especially by Hewitt and Fall, the team was disjointed and could not. stop the fast moving Club backs. Smith played a good safe game åt full back and was in no way to blame for the Club's score. Fall virtually scored for Army when he managed to send a snap pass to Stitson on being tackled by Läm- mert. Although lacking in inches. Fall was exceptionally fast and tricky.

The scoring was opened by Mc- Gilchrist who, taking a pass on the wing, galloped over after a strong run. McLelland converted.

Shortly after Rigg secured. and catching the Army defenders out of position went over for McLelland to add the major points again.

The Army were inclined to get offside and from a penalty Mc- 2.-Echo and always scold for Lelland scored from a fine angle

The Club threes were throwing the ball about well, McGülchrist especially gathering in finely. He was rewarded a second time when he ran over near the corner. The kick was unsuccessful..
