Although Mr. Marshall Field has been racing in this country for many years he has never yet had a classic winner. For some years now he has had horses in training with Capt. C. Boyd-Rochfort at Newmarket.
Capt. Boyd-Rochfort also trains for two other wealthy Americans. Mr. William Woodward, of the New York Jockey Club, and Mr. J. E. Widener, who was responsible for the opening of the Miami race- course three years ago.
Mr. Marshall Field's other racing interests include a team of horses in training at Belmont, New York, and a stud farm at West Meath, in Ireland: He also races in France.
