At The Alhambra
A welcome relief from hum- drum gereen mystery dramas is Whose "By through provided Hand?", (a fast-moving Columbia production), showing to-day at the Alhambra Theatre. Its rapid- fire serles of events take place on a wildly racing express, train, which of itself is not a hackneyed locale.
Furthermore, the picture is re- plete with well-placed dramatic suspense, subtlety, and surprise In fact, this reviewer action. doesn't easily recall such a con- sistent string of thrills in one Alm. Her visits to her pet are frequent, and it works out that they have plot significance. There is sufficient comedy inserted to relieve the more tense moments, and keep the plcture from any- thing like exaggeration,

A bungled attempt at petty larceny lands him hatless, pantiess and with just an overcoat to cover him, in the pullman suite of a deserted bride, Patricia Ellis To save her face, Miss Ellis takes "Jack home with her and introduces him to her aunt as her husband-a radio crooner. A MINISTERIAL REVIEW

(Special Air Mail Service).
London, October 13.
Mr. MacDonald met a number of Ministers to-day and talked over with them the affairs of their Departments.
