"HOLD THAT GIRL"
With Claire Trevor
Slaves LO routine have the sympathy of Claire Trevor, the young New York actress who, owes her present place in motion plc- tures to the fact that she couldn't stand a set schedule of activity.
"I tried office work for wo weeks during a summer vacation". she says, "and at the end of that time I had to give up the position, It wasn't that the work was hard or that the pay was small- it was just being hemmed in by a lot of nother desks. all the girls doing the same sort of typing checking. In and out at the same hours, cach day being like every other day
"During the fast two weeks of production of our last picture. "Hold That Girl, we worked all day every day and late every night. and no one minded a bit.
The reason. I'm sure! is that not two
theatrical days in
work are alike".
Miss Trevor's lack of fear of work is Indicated by the fact that "Hold That Girl" is her Afth picture in the eight months she has been in Hollywood under contract to Fox Film. James Dunn shares featured honours In

Myrna Loy has appeared in many different roles on the lccal screen but it would perhaps be safe to say that she far surpasses anything she has ever achieved in her part of one of the world's most dangerous and yet most fascinat- ing sples in "Stamboul Quest which opened its season at the Queen's Theatre yesterday.
Based on the original story by Leo Birinski, many occurrences of actual fact are included in the screen version which was general- ly agreed by all those who saw it yesterday as one of the most grip- ping stories to come our way for many a long day.
None other than George Brent plays opposite Miss Loy and when
Is added that the two give of their best, little more need be said other than the fact that "Stam- boul Quest" should not be missed by anybody in search of entertain- ment of a high order.

The role of the Grand Duke Peter is entrusted to Douglas Fairbanks. junior, and it can safely be said that in the hands of these two stars, the audience is carried right back to re-live; if only for a brief hour, the days of the splendour and the glory of the Russian Im- perial Court, accompanied by its many phases of despotism:
The story deals with the period In which the Grand Duke falls from popularity and Catherine assumes the throne. It is all too hrief, but Its very brevity. is its chief claim to distinction. There are no boring tiresome scene, and no songs. History is not improved by musical interludes, and the producers have lavishly en- deavoured to produce this play on a strictly historical baals.
