Unwritten Law Of Espionage

"When a beautiful spy neglects her duty to her country to fail in love, she invariably signs her own death warrant.

Out of this unwritten law espionage... Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer has produced a vitally gripping screen drama that is different from all of its spy predecessors.

The picture is." Stamboul Quest" (to-morrow's attraction at the Queen's Theatre), with Myrna Loy and George Brent presencing to the screen public an entirely new team of screen lovers. Miss Loy, heretofore seen in supporting roles, cargles off the major portion of the honours that must be distributed for the class of entertainment that this picture contains...

As "Faulein Doktor," Germany's mysterious spy, Miss Loy is des- patched to Turkey to trap Ali Bey, a high military onelal suspected of selling out" to the enemy. The mission is a most dangerous one, but made doubly harzardous for "Faulein Doktor" by the per- sistent. pursuit of Douglas Beall, a dashing young American.

"Britannia of Billingsgate the Gaumont-British picture is packed with humorous situations which provoke happy laughter and warm- hearted appreciation.

of the

The story is that of the reactions Boltons, a Billingsgate family, when Mrs. Bolton (Violet Loraine), is suddenly selected to star in a film, and although comedy is the predominant element. there are moments of drams.

Gordon Harker, of course; has a role considerably to his liking, as the fish market porter who tries to become a gentleman, s role that is possibly the finest he has yet created.

The homely good-natured appesi of Miss Loraine, coupled with the broad humour of Gordon Harker, plus the interesting peeps into film studio life, makes "Britannia of Billingsgate" one of the most popular pictures of the year. It is having its final showing to-day at the Queen's, so don't miss it!
