With four months still to go, the tonnage output from the Clyde shipyards during 1934 has already exceeded the productivity of the river in 1933.

During August, 11 vessels. of were launched. the 33,321 tons, greatest output of any month since October, 1934. In August of 1990, 16 vessels are bordering on com- pletion.
