In the Men's 100 Yards Breast Stroke Championship, W. Schreu- der gave the spectators a genuine thrill when he spurted magni- fcently in the last lap to lose to R. B. Wood by a fraction of a second in one of the closest races witnessed this season.
The Diving Championship only drew two entries from the Men's Section and one from the Ladies. fncidentally Miss Joan Wilson dived very well and completely cutshone her male competitors. E. F. Selk was the winner in the Men's Section by a comfortable margin..

O. G. Simpson is definitely out of Shanghai's interport cricket side, owing to illness, it was an- nounced yesterday, while one of the fourteen chosen to fepresent Hong Kong has dropped out. N. A. E. Mackay (K.C.€.), Shanghai will now have to choose one of the two reserves, LL-Col. Felly or J. C. Jen- kins, to fill the vacancy.
