New Working Agreement

The feature of the Kowloon-Canton Railway agreement which was signed simultaneously in English and Chinese by His Excellency the Governor of Hong Kong and the Minister of Ball- ways at Nanking, on September 15. is the fact that whereas me- cording to the old agreement the Chinese Section received from the British Section 65 per cent of the Terminal Through Traffic receipts in Hong Kong currency in respect of up traffic, they now receive ît per cent of the receipts under the Hew agreement."

Similarly, the British Section's share of 35 per cent, of the receipts in respect of down traffic has been reduced to 28 per · cent.
