A Lovelier Irene Dunne
Heralded as being loveller than ever and sparkling with anima tion in her new starring picture This Man Is Mine." showing at the King's Theatre, Irene Dunne appears as a wife who crusades against husband-stealing in the upper circles of society.
Reminiscent of her outstanding success as the wife in "Cimarron," the star blossoms forth as a loving, fighting, never-say-die woman. In the climax of the picture" she stages a hand-to-hand combat with Ralph Bellamy, who appears in the role of her faithless hus- band, and pounds some sence of loyalty into his head with a hand picture frame. This sequence is replete with satirical humour:
Miss Dunne, who, prior to her screen career, appeared in light operas, sings with much charm, especially appealing being her ren-- dition of "Tying Laacs on the 'Apple Tree."
A brilliant supporting cast in- cludes Constance Cummings as the third corner of the domestic trian- gle, debonair Sidney Blackmer as a mystery man who proves that he knows now to make bad little gls behave, Kay Johnson, Char- les Starretr, Vivian robin and Louis Maso:
