AIR TRANSPORT
Scheme For Development
: London, Aug. 13. The London Chamber of Com- merce has submitted to the Air Ministry a scheme for develop- ing in Britain of a regular system of commercial air transport.
The Chamber suggests that the ground equipment and trams control of the British air routes should be vested in a statutory body, on which the Air Ministry, the General Post Office, aircraft operators, insurance and commer- cial interests should be represent- ed.
This body, it is proposed, should administer the finances necessary 'for equipping and maintaining alr routes with wireless, lighting. meteorological and trame control services, and should, in consulta- tion with the appropriate authort- tles plan the prificipal air routes and aerodromes in the country, having regard to present and fu- `ture needs,
