New York, July 24. The American Oriental Finance Corporation report through their New York agents, Messrs E A. Fierce & Co., states:--

Stocks:-Selling during the last hour has added to the uncertainty, over the immediate trend of the market. We believe the best policy would be to defer purchases. -

Wheat-The display of apathy by the public in the face of bullish crop news has disturbed holders. The lack of short interest has made the market vulnerable to realizing. The Winnipeg market reflects Chicago prices and the favourable weather conditions.

Cotton-Prices opened easier on lower cables, but railed later on Trade buying and the replacing of | orders by long operators who re 40 qt.cently sold; however, bulges were

niet by increased selling from abroad and the South. Sentiment scems to be confused by the action of the stocks market. There was, a moderate amount of price-fixing near the close.
