Wheat: The market opened at about 1 cents higher. Weather conditions are still unfavourable although the indications are for showers in the North and the West. The strength of the Corn market is a sustaining influence and trad- ers are inclined to even" up their positions over the week-end. Hedging pressure was comparative ly light, The Winnipeg, market is steady, with a good undertone.

There seems to be a slightly Armer tone in the market, several stocks having improved in price, Wharves having been done at 8110. Trams at $31.60. There are fur- ther buyers of these stocks, also of "Hotels at $5.55 China Lights (Old) ht-88.75 and new Constructions as 78 cents.
Banks and Unions have also ap preciated in value, owing to weaker. Exchange, business having been
at $1810 and $545 respec
Stocks: The market showed | done mare stability to-day, although the tively. volume of business was not im pressive. The current decline has again, in our opinion, placed gold and silver shares in the buying range.
Bonds: The firm trend of high- grades continues. Second-grades were slightly easter.
Cotton: The week-end weather forecast was bullish. The Trade continues to buy, confirming the desirability of purchases.
