LAWN BOWLS NOTES
Senior Champions' Narrow Victory
Last week's games in the Lawn, they are playing away at the Kow- Bowls League, while providing no thing in the nature of upsets for the highly placed seaïns, gave the champions in the senior division an anxious time as they were able to retain their two-point lead by A very narrow victory.
The Club de Recreto, who pro- vided the opposition against the champlans, were also unlucky in their junior game as the Bowling Green Club were able to claim the points by a single shot victory: Having gained theft that victory the previous week, the Police sentor team cfested a mild. Ben- sation at Talkoo he recording another victory.
•
Kowloon C.C winners of the Senior League Shield two seasons back, have been having a lean time this season as they have been able to win only two games. They lost on, Saturday to Craigengower "A" by 12 shots, the defeat being caused by the fallure of Fraser's rink to stand up against the good bowling of Basa's team' where Racul Luz displayed good form in the position of No. 3. Bas rink won by 12 shots, while the other two rinks finished all square, each rink balancing & deficit of one .shot:
Recreio lost Ko the Bowling Green by three shots. G. G. Silva's rink bowled very consistently to win by 14 shots against Drakes team but a shortage of shots on one of the other rinks and 11 shots on the third deprived thein of a very close approach to beating the champions.
loon Bowling Green Club. They are likely to record another vic- tory and further strengthen their position. The Yacht Club ought to win by a heavy margin at Craigengower, Kowloon C.C. are favoured to win over the Police. Club de Recreio might just about beat the Electricians, while Civil Service should have ittis duiculty in taking the points at the Foot ball Club.
