While sailing near Ship Bay in Chinese territory at about 1 a.m. on Saturday, a Chinese cargo junk was suddenly attacked by a small fishing boat with, eight pirates on board and robbed of money" and also property. The Junk stolen.
According to a report made to the Water Pallee by Chan Liu. aged 41-years, master of the junk, the craft after being loaded with 300 piculs of Hly-rbots, valued at about $400, left Bocca Tigris, Can- ton for Hong Kong last Friday morning, with a crew of several men, together with the wife and family of the master.
At about 1 4.1. on Saturday, when the Junk was sailing near the north of Chak Wan, which is in Chinese territory a fishing, boat, from the direction of Tung Chung, came alongside and eight men jumped into the junk. Three of them were armed with revolvers
