SAVED GERMANY FROM CIVIL WAR
Hitler's Claim In: Course Of Interview
Paris, July 11,
The claim that he saved Ger- civil many from the tragedy of war was made by Chancellor Hit- ler in the course of an interview granted to: Professor Alfred Fear- son, of Iowa, which was publish- ed in the European edition of the "New York Times."
Referring to the recent, dissen- tions in the Nazi ranks, Chan- cellor Hitler said that the men in whom he had every conadence conspired to overthrow the Gov- ernment. It was his strict duty to sacrifice the few traitors actuated only by personal ambitions rather than allow the country to be swal- lowed up by the horrors of civil
war.
