I am sure those who take any interest at all in racing in Hong- kong will be glad to hear that the Jockey Club is conducting an- other big sweep on the Picnic Bay Stakes to be held in September. These tickets at $1 each should prove immensely popular and it will be recalled that tickets in the Juling Stakes which WELS drawn for in June last were the objects of a great last minute rush. The Native Goods Sales Offee is recruiting 50 revenue officers to check smuggling in sugar and tungsten, which are sold as gov- ernment monopoliés.
