Stocks:-The undertone of the market. encourages B belief in somewhat higher prices. Sugar, Metals, Oils, Tobaccos and some public utilities appear to be in good positions

Wheat:-Prices improved on N. American Weather and crop news This, however, was o-set by less favourable European crop ad- vices and the strength of the corn market, which caused improve- ments.
Cotton:-In spite of considerable selling early in the day the market held steady. The bulk of selling was "long Liquidation, including some from abroad. There was a 17 cts. good demand on set-backs from

Stocks: The market 'continues to hesitate as Congressional adjourn ment is delayed, but the firm tone of stocks suggests further strength,
the
tangle legialitative unless should upset current calculations.
Bonds: High-grade" bonds remain firm. Becond-grades, are easter in sympathy with stocks.
Cotton: The market is quiet and" our opinion of this commodity is unchanged.
Silver:-Market dull.
Rubber: Steady. The market is mostly a local affair.
Wheat: The market is firm, on unfavourable advices of the Euro- pean crop and on the strength of the corn market, which is firm on renewed chinch bug reports and on bullish corn statistics.
