Stocks: With the probability of a settlement of the steel strike and of the early adjournment of Congress, the 'market ap pears to have less worry at present and we would therefore buy on minor recessions.
.
Bonds:-High-grade issues were arm and quiet. We expect prices in the near future to be held down by the possibility of new issues, Second-grades continue to look up.
Cotton: The market is firm and our oplaton of the situation is unchanged...
Silver:Prices are steady, but there is no outside interest. Rubber:-Erratic: After a" firm opening, the market eased off on week-end liquidation; however, we continue to recom- mend purchases, anticipating a major upward move shortly.
Wheat:-Prices are lower on profit-taking. We continue to believe that purchases on set-backs are justinable.
