The Arst half of "the year's racing programme comes to an end to-day with a card of nine races. Chief Interest will 'He in the Juling Stakes over which the $1 sweep is "condnated. National «Day is fancied for the event, which, incidentally is the second leg of the Dally “Double.” Monoplane is likely to start favourite for the first leg.

In the third rzee Sadko and Hetman will have an interesting duel over a mille. Both ponies have shown improved form lately and a good race should result.

Favourites should have a good day, unless the rain should come and spoll the course, "in which case, the last three races on the card will become very open.

Lemberg For The First Race

Lemberg has been turning up so! regularly for a place in Hongkong that one can hardly conceive how he will be unplaced in the open- ing race to-day. In fact looking aver the entries, I am driven to the conclusion, that even-his big weight will not stop him from winning. The biggest danger here, of course. Is Monoplane, but the pony.
